Price development in transport and logistics in 2027

08.10.2026

We experienced a strong Swiss economy in the first half of 2026. However, due to ongoing global crises, particularly in the automotive industry, we unfortunately expect a slight slowdown in the second half of the year. Persistently high petrol and diesel prices are also driving inflation and weakening the economy.

In addition to diesel prices, our greatest concern is the shortage of skilled workers. Only through considerable efforts and continuous training and professional development are we able to keep our trucks on the road. Rising insurance costs and increasing prices for vehicles, superstructures and spare parts are also a concern. Over the past year, we have also made significant investments in our logistics facilities.

As we did not increase our prices in 2026, we expect transport and logistics costs in Switzerland to rise by 2 to 3% in 2027.

Internationally, we are also facing significant cost increases. Higher road tolls in the Netherlands and Belgium, major fluctuations in transport capacity and increasing bureaucracy, particularly in customs procedures, are forcing us to implement price increases of 4 to 7% in various countries.
