Recently, we have increasingly noticed that industrial and consumer goods are not always packed properly for transport. Our lorry drivers and handling staff do their best every day to handle all goods with care, but if the packaging is inadequate, this alone may not be enough to prevent damage.
According to the Swiss Code of Obligations (Art. 440 ff.), the responsibility for proper packaging lies with the sender. As a transport company, we are only liable for damage if the goods have been properly packaged and handed over ready for transport.
